Purchase and distribution of infant formula

A ter­rible ear­th­quake has hit the South of Tur­key and the North of Syria. 

A great num­ber of mothers and infants are in a relent­less struggle for their sur­vi­val. We are laun­ching an appeal for dona­tions to finance an action to pro­vide infant for­mu­la to save the lives of very young children. 

On Februa­ry 6, 2023 a 7.8 magni­tude ear­th­quake devas­ta­ted the South of Tur­key and the North of Syria. Ano­ther ear­th­quake occur­red on Februa­ry 20^th and resul­ted in making some wea­ke­ned buil­dings fall and added to the deso­la­tion. More than 40,000 lives have been lost and 5.3 mil­lion people have been left homeless. 

Among these nume­rous vic­tims are many mothers and babies des­pe­ra­te­ly stri­ving to sur­vive. The condi­tions of life they must face are extre­me­ly dif­fi­cult (lack of food, hygiene and shel­ter). A great many nur­sing mothers find them­selves trau­ma­ti­zed by this ter­rible situa­tion and can no lon­ger breast­feed. As for young chil­dren who have become orphans, they can no lon­ger be ade­qua­te­ly nou­ri­shed. We are the­re­fore ini­tia­ting an infant for­mu­la cam­pai­gn in order to receive dona­tions and save count­less lives.

3,5 € = nutri­tion for a baby for one week

The amount of 3.5 euros pro­vides nutri­tion for a baby for one week. We have alrea­dy been able to finance an order of 2000 cans of infant for­mu­la which will be dis­tri­bu­ted in the area north of Alep­po and in Idlib. 

Never­the­less, we still need your help. Your dona­tions are essen­tial in order for this ope­ra­tion to suc­ceed and conti­nue over a long duration.
