A terrible earthquake has hit the South of Turkey and the North of Syria.
A great number of mothers and infants are in a relentless struggle for their survival. We are launching an appeal for donations to finance an action to provide infant formula to save the lives of very young children.
On February 6, 2023 a 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated the South of Turkey and the North of Syria. Another earthquake occurred on February 20th and resulted in making some weakened buildings fall and added to the desolation. More than 40,000 lives have been lost and 5.3 million people have been left homeless.
Among these numerous victims are many mothers and babies desperately striving to survive. The conditions of life they must face are extremely difficult (lack of food, hygiene and shelter). A great many nursing mothers find themselves traumatized by this terrible situation and can no longer breastfeed. As for young children who have become orphans, they can no longer be adequately nourished. We are therefore initiating an infant formula campaign in order to receive donations and save countless lives.
3,5 € = nutrition for a baby for one week
The amount of 3.5 euros provides nutrition for a baby for one week. We have already been able to finance an order of 2000 cans of infant formula which will be distributed in the area north of Aleppo and in Idlib.
Nevertheless, we still need your help. Your donations are essential in order for this operation to succeed and continue over a long duration.
Every euro counts. They count on you.
