Winters are often harsh in Syria. In early 2024, Coeur & Action gave warm clothes, coats and sweaters, to 200 children in Dareya, Sahnaya, Yabroud and Kachkoul.
A hard winter for families
After years of war, more than 90% of the Syrian population lives below the poverty line. Prices for basic goods keep rising, and power cuts make it hard to heat homes. For many families, buying warm clothes for their children is simply no longer possible.
200 children kept warm
With our volunteers and local partners, we identified the families most in need, then gave coats and sweaters to children in four towns : Dareya, Sahnaya, Yabroud and Kachkoul.
As with all our actions, our local contacts sent us photos of the distribution, so we know every donation reaches the children it was meant for.
